This is very Kevin-y, and very awesome too.
Transformer Furniture: Tatamis to Tables
In Japan, room sizes are not measured in feet or meters, but in mats, based on multiples of the standardized tatami mats that were traditionally used to cover floors. They have fallen out of favour, but designer Shin Yamashita has reinvented them in a modern version that might just bring them back. Think Tatami meets Dror Benshetritmeets IKEA flatpack.

Thanks VickiSalazar! (PS Vicki is new to Tumblr, so holler at her!)

Please get in my belly.

Pineberries.
These beautiful abominations of god and science, the pineberry, are the taste of a pineapple with all the sexy appeal of an albino strawberry.  They are making their debut in UK grocery stores, and I want one in my mouth right now. If I find out this is an April Fools joke, I’m going to stab someone. Thanks Concon for bringing foods into my world.

Alexa Meade - Live installation: Acrylic paint on found objects, walls, and flesh

The reverse trompe l’oeil series is Alexa Meade’s spin on reality. Alexa has invented a painting technique that makes 3 dimensional space look flat, blurring the lines between illusion and reality.Typically a painting is an artist’s interpretation of the subject painted onto another surface. In Alexa’s paintings, she creates her artistic interpretation of the subject directly on top of the subject itself. Essentially, her art imitates life - on top of life.By wrapping her subject in a mask of paint, she skews the way that the core of the subject is perceived.
That’s right, that’s a real, live person covered in acrylic paint made to look like a flat painting. Amazing.

Pencil Printer.
This might just be the best product I have ever seen.  It takes your old pencils, grinds them up, and prints with them.  Oh, and since it’s pencil, you can erase whatever you print.  I want to make digital drawings, then have them printed on paper with a pencil, just to create black holes in space and time.  Thanks Dornob!

A simple bending of a metal rod leads to all sorts of possibilities.
