The nearly one-inch diameter Lifestraw chemically filters and inactivates water-borne parasites, viruses, and bacteria through a specially devised resin. Teaming with Virgin America, various animal rescue programs aim to decrease the substantial chihuahua population on the West coast by flying them to new homes on the East coast. The animals participating in Operation Chihuahua will have the bill footed by the airline. The idea of an airplane filled with chihuahuas is almost too much for me to take.
